Abstract

Kadubanen Terminal is a Type C terminal located in Pandeglang Regency. Its current condition shows that the terminal has not yet maximized its role as a transportation hub nor fulfilled its function as a Type C terminal. However, Kadubanen Terminal holds significant potential for development, as indicated by its strategic location along the main Pandeglang–Labuan corridor and its proximity to major activity centers such as Pandeglang Town Square, Pandeglang Market, and the Great Mosque of Pandeglang. This report aims to redesign the terminal in order to create a more representative facility that meets the standards of a Type B terminal and is capable of accommodating Pandeglang’s transportation needs. The research methods employed include on-site observation, literature review, precedent study, data analysis, and the application of a synthetic design concept. The findings indicate that Kadubanen Terminal has strong potential to be upgraded into a Type B terminal, developed as a mixed-use building, and integrated with biophilic architectural concepts. The conclusion of this study is that Kadubanen Terminal, currently classified as Type C, possesses the potential to be transformed into a Type B terminal through a biophilic architectural approach and further developed into a mixed use facility.
