Abstract

Information systems play an important role in supporting data management processes, particularly in inventory management, which is used to record, organize, and monitor assets in a structured manner. Dusun Sendang RT 01 RW 03 owns several assets that can be borrowed by residents; however, it does not yet have an inventory information system. Currently, inventory records are managed manually using notebooks, which makes them prone to data loss, recording errors, and a lack of transparency in asset management. Therefore, a web-based inventory information system that is easy to use, accurate, and capable of supporting asset recording and borrowing processes is required. This study aims to develop a web-based inventory information system that includes asset recording, management of borrowing and returning items, and transparent presentation of inventory information to residents. The research employs the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall method, consisting of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system is developed using Laravel as the backend, React.js as the frontend, and MySQL as the database. The results of Black Box testing indicate that all main system functions operate according to the specified requirements and design specifications. Usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS), involving 35 respondents consisting of inventory administrators, the head of the neighborhood association, residents, and students, produces an average SUS score of 80, which falls into the Excellent category, indicating that the system has a very high level of usability and is easy to use.
