Abstract

The alumni tracer is an essential instrument for higher education institutions to monitor graduates’ activities after completing their studies, whether in employment, entrepreneurship, or further education. At UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, the alumni tracer process was previously conducted manually using separate online forms, resulting in unintegrated and difficult-to-manage data. This condition limited the university’s ability to evaluate curricula and assess the relevance of graduates’ competencies to labor market demands. To address this issue, a web-based alumni tracer system was developed using the Laravel 12 framework and MySQL database. This system has three main roles, namely admin, head of study program and alumni, , and includes key functionalities such as questionnaire submission, alumni data management, tracer report generation, and access control management. The development process applied the Waterfall model, which consists of sequential stages including requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.The main goal of this tool is to facilitate the collection of graduate follow-up data in an orderly, accurate, and fast manner, while also helping universities evaluate and make important choices based on the available information.
