Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of BOPO, CAR, NPL, and LDR on banking profitability as proxied by Return on Assets (ROA) in banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2018–2022 period. The research employs a quantitative approach using secondary financial report data, analyzed through multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results show that BOPO has a negative and significant effect on ROA, LDR has a positive and significant effect on ROA, while CAR and NPL have no significant effect on bank profitability. These findings indicate that operational efficiency and effective credit distribution are the main factors influencing the profitability of conventional banks in Indonesia.
