Abstract

In the field of education, web-based information systems have been widely utilized by various educational institutions. These systems aim to convey institutional profiles and information, streamline administrative processes, and provide users with access to relevant information. A website makes information management and distribution easier and more effective, both for educational institutions and for those who need it. Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) implements the Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah Mentoring (AIK) program as a strategy for Islamic development for students. This program is implemented through halaqoh (Islamic study groups) with structured planning and implementation. However, to date, the UMS Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) mentoring program does not have a website to disseminate information to students. Mentoring information is still provided manually, specifically related to mentoring profiles. Furthermore, administrative management, such as student group data, materials, and assessment information, still uses Excel and spreadsheets, which can lead to errors in recording, data loss, and delays in reporting mentoring activities. This research successfully designed a website-based information system for AIK UMS mentoring students using the R&D method with the Waterfall model and implemented through WordPress integrated with LMS features. This website provides information on activities, class management, learning materials, quizzes, and assessments, all digitally documented. The developed website-based information system was deemed feasible in facilitating student access to information. This was demonstrated by the results of the Black Box test with a 100% success rate, the performance test with a performance score of 86% and accessibility of 94%. The media expert test with a percentage of 87.5% (very feasible category), the material expert test with a 95% (very feasible category), and the student test using the SUS method, which obtained an average score of 80.2, with categories of acceptable, grade A, and excellent. These results indicate that the system can be used well, is effective, and is accepted by users. These results confirm that the developed website is valid, feasible, and highly accepted by users.
