Abstract
Child protection is the responsibility of local governments to ensure the fulfillment of children's rights and prevent violence and neglect. The Boyolali Regency Government enacted Regional Regulation No. 11 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Child Protection as an effort to strengthen the child protection system at the regional level. This study aims to analyze the implementation of this regional regulation and identify challenges and strategies in its implementation. The research method used was empirical juridical with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation studies at the Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment, and Child Protection Office (DP2KBP3A) of Boyolali Regency. The results indicate that the implementation of Regional Regulation No. 11 of 2020 has been quite effective through prevention efforts, case handling, and assistance for child victims. However, the implementation of this policy still faces obstacles such as limited human resources, suboptimal cross-sectoral coordination, and low public awareness. Strengthened coordination and outreach are needed to ensure optimal child protection.
