Abstract
Stunting is a public health problem with long-term impacts on the quality of human resources, espesiacally in rural areas. One strategy for addressing it is through an educational approach involving the active participantion of the community and universities. This study aims to describe the role of university students as agents of change in the Muhammadiyah Aisyah Community Servuces Program (KKN MAs) in stunting prevention efforts in Giriwondo Village, Jumapolo District, Karanganyar Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and pre and post-test surveys with pregnant women, mothers of toddlers, and health cadres. The results showed that the program succsesfully increased community understanding of stunting, balanced nutrition, and sanitaiont, as well as enocouraging behavioral changes such as exsclusive breastfeeding , nutriotious food consumption, and regular visits to thee Integrate Health Post (Posyandu). One intervention that received a positive response was the provision of supplementary food in the form of moringa leaf pudding, a one-time implementation as part of local food-based nutrition education. These findings confirm that student involvement in community services programs can be an effective strategy in reducing stunting prevalence in a participatory and sustainable manner at the village level.
