Abstract

Anemia is a significant global public health issue, particularly affecting children and adolescent girls. Anemia in adolescent girls not only impacts their individual health but can also increase the risk of complications during pregnancy, including the likelihood of delivering babies with Low Birth Weight (LBW) and the risk of stunting. This study aims to examine the relationship between breakfast dietary intake and anemia among female students at SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo. This research is a quantitative study using a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique employed in this study is random sampling, with a total of 74 respondents. Data analysis utilized the Spearman test to assess the relationship between the two variables: breakfast dietary intake and hemoglobin levels. The results indicate that the majority of respondents had a negative breakfast dietary intake (60.8%), and a significant portion experienced moderate anemia (35.1%). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between breakfast dietary intake and anemia among female students at SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo.
