Abstract

Srau Beach in Pacitan, East Java, is known as a leading tourist destination with its natural beauty that attracts many tourists from various regions. However, unfortunately, the increasing number of tourists each year has not been matched by adequate supporting facilities. Therefore, the Pacitan Regency Government continues to strive for improvements, one of which is adding accommodation facilities in the form of a resort in the Srau Beach area. The resort is designed to accommodate various tourist needs with functional spaces such as guest rooms, restaurants, recreation areas, and a center for Pacitan souvenirs. The Organic Architecture approach was chosen as the solution in the resort design because this approach prioritizes environmentally friendly design, user comfort and the integration of natural elements into the building design such as local vegetation, natural ventilation and lighting, and environmentally friendly technologies, both through rainwater treatment and energy-efficient design. Thus, the resort is not only a lodging facility but also becomes a new identity for Srau Beach as well as an example of sustainable development in harmony with nature through the Organic Architecture approach. Through this project, it is hoped that it can increase the attractiveness of Srau Beach as a leading tourist destination while providing a positive impact on the surrounding community in economic and social aspects without damaging the surrounding nature, especially the original coastal ecosystem.
