Abstract
School Health Efforts (UKS) is a government program aimed at improving the health status of students through health education, health services, and fostering a healthy school environment. One indicator of the success of UKS is the implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS). Observations at MAN 1 Karanganyar showed that some students have not implemented PHBS optimally, such as littering, skipping breakfast, not washing hands, and smoking. This study aims to analyze the relationship between UKS knowledge levels and PHBS in students. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The study population was 878 students, with a sample of 250 students selected using cluster random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the study showed that students' UKS knowledge was in the poor category for 3 students (15.2%), sufficient for 209 students (83.6%), and good for 38 students (1.2%). PHBS behavior was in the poor category for 39 students (16.6%), sufficient for 153 students (61.2%), and good for 58 students (23.2%). Statistical tests showed a significant relationship between UKS knowledge and PHBS (p=0.025). The study's conclusions indicate that the greater students' knowledge about the school health program (UKS), the better the implementation of clean and healthy living behaviors in the school environment. It is recommended that schools and community health centers continue to strengthen health education through interactive, sustainable UKS programs that foster healthy behaviors.
