Abstract

Balekambang Park is known as a cultural tourist attraction in the city of Surakarta, with historical value as it was once a resting place for the Mangkunegaran palace family. Balekambang Park received its first revitalization in 2008 led by Mayor Joko Widodo, which was then revitalized again in 2022. After the revitalization, the Balekambang Park Area Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) promoted the park through the Instagram account @balekambangsolo to attract visitors. This study aims to determine the communication strategy of the UPT Balekambang Park Area in promoting the park through the Instagram account @balekambangsolo. The researcher used the AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) model to examine the communication strategy of the UPT Balekambang Park Area on Instagram. The method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach, data collection techniques through interviews and observations. The results of the study indicate that Balekambang Park has implemented a communication strategy through Instagram with content in the form of photos and videos created with attractive visuals, presenting information, showing new places and the beauty of Balekambang Park.
