Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of minimum wage, number of companies, and number of workers on the added value of the manufacturing sector in West Java Province. This study uses panel data from 27 districts/cities in West Java, The analysis results show Fixed Effect Model (FEM) was selected as the best estimated model. The estimated model demonstrates high predictive power, thereby making the findings of this study reliable in providing recommendations for the development of the manufacturing sector in West Java. Partially, the minimum wage and the number of firms have a positive effect, while the number of workers does not significantly affect industrial value added. These findings imply that minimum wage policies and the expansion of firms should be prioritized as key factors in promoting the growth of value added in West Java’s manufacturing sector.
