Abstract
This study was conducted to analyze the level of landslide susceptibility and to determine evacuation routes in Jatiyoso District, Karanganyar Regency. The main problem underlying this research is the high potential for landslides caused by steep topography, high rainfall intensity, and soil types that are easily saturated with water. Based on these problems, the objectives of this study are (1) to analyze the level of landslide susceptibility using key physical parameters, and (2) to determine the fastest evacuation routes to safe points as a disaster mitigation effort. The method used is spatial analysis based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) employing the weighted overlay and scoring techniques on four main parameters: slope, rainfall, soil type, and land use. Each parameter was assigned a weight according to its influence on landslide potential, resulting in a susceptibility classification map ranging from very low to very high. The results show that 16.27% of the area falls into the high category and 2.14% into the very high category, particularly in Beruk, Wonorejo, and Wukirsawit Villages. Based on the Network Analyst analysis, Landslide Point 23 in Beruk Village has the fastest evacuation route with a distance of approximately ±229 meters and a travel time of ±27–41 seconds, while Landslide Point 18 in Karangsari Village has the longest route with a distance of ±4,329 meters and a travel time of ±8–13 minutes at a vehicle speed of 20–30 km/h. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a basis for spatial-based disaster mitigation planning and to enhance community preparedness against landslide hazards in Jatiyoso District.
