Abstract

This study analyzes the effects of education, health, Domestic Investment (PMDN), and Foreign Direct Investment (PMA) on labor productivity in Central Java Province during 2016–2020. Secondary data were obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and analyzed using panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) as the best fit. The results indicate that education and health have a positive and significant impact on labor productivity. PMA also shows a positive and significant influence through technology transfer and modern managerial practices. In contrast, PMDN has a negative and insignificant effect, suggesting that domestic investment remains capital-intensive and less effective in driving productivity. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening education and health quality and optimizing domestic investment to enhance labor productivity.
