Abstract
The Muhammadiyah Educational Institution aims for tajdid (renewal) in education. To achieve this goal, Muhammadiyah has developed textbooks specifically designed for its educational institutions. This research aims to analyze the content and ideals of the Fiqh textbooks published by the Majelis Dikdasmen in comparison to the Fiqh textbooks from LP2 Muhammadiyah. The research method employed is a literature study with a qualitative paradigm and a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings indicate that the teaching materials in the Fiqh textbooks published by Majelis Dikdasmen Muhammadiyah align well with the indicators set forth in the ISMUBA curriculum, whereas the Fiqh textbooks from LP2 Muhammadiyah do not. Both books have their unique characteristics, including differences in language and presentation of material, as well as the depth of the legal arguments discussed. Nevertheless, the content included in both Fiqh textbooks for SMP/MTs levels is considered ideal according to the standards of teaching materials.
