Abstract

Worker productivity is a key factor in increasing company competitiveness, particularly in the instant food seasoning industry. Worker workload is influenced by the variation in the number of samples to be analyzed each day and the number of job responsibilities within the analysis items. Uncertainty regarding the number of samples and the overtime restriction policy since August 2024 increase the workload. When an worker is absent, sick, or on leave, another employee must take over the work left behind, impacting productivity and work quality. Meanwhile, management feels that additional manpower is unnecessary. This study aims to analyze workload and productivity in the Quality Control Section of PT. Ajinomoto Indonesia using the Full Time Equivalent (FTE) method. Data collection was conducted through a Stopwatch Time Study to obtain standard times by considering factors in the Westinghouse method. The results of this analysis are expected to illustrate worker workload and productivity. FTE values for MFI and SPS workers vary depending on the number of samples worked on. Therefore, to avoid workloads with excessive FTE values, recommendations are provided for the ideal range of samples worked on each activity element.
