Abstract
Intense retail competition has affected one of the minimarkets in the Kartasura area, specifically Tiga Amanah Mini Mart, which has only been in operation for three years. Tiga Amanah Mini Mart must compete with large retailers such as Indomaret and Alfamart, as well as other grocery stores. The objective of this study is to analyze the feasibility of the business by considering financial aspects and SWOT analysis. Financial aspects are assessed using calculations of Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Payback Period, and Profitability Index. The calculations show that the business is viable to operate with a Net Present Value of Rp 211.980.379, an Internal Rate of Return of 17,9%, a Payback Period of 4.8 years, and a Profitability Index of 1.35. Additionally, the results of the SWOT analysis on the IE matrix indicate that the minimarket is in Quadrant I, which represents growth and development. The SWOT matrix results recommend improving the minimarket's service and cleanliness to support the trend toward practical and quick shopping, adding clear price labels to all products to increase consumer confidence, offering a customer loyalty program with membership cards to increase the currently low level of loyalty, and providing digital catalogs or promotional brochures to attract customers attention.
