Abstract

The development of technology has brought tremendous changes to our lives, presenting amazing new potentials, but also causing complex impacts. Along with innovations in computing, the internet, and smart devices, technology has opened the door to an era of limitless possibilities. However, along with this progress, we must be wise in assessing its positive and negative impacts, with excessive use of technology can lead to social isolation and privacy issues. One of the main challenges is the digital divide that limits access and utilization of technology for many individuals. In this context, Augmented Reality (AR) emerges as a promising solution, enabling the integration of the physical and digital worlds in various aspects of everyday life, including education, healthcare, and entertainment, carrying great potential to enhance our experience in interacting with the world around us. Utilization in the field of Natural Sciences (IPA) is highly recommended, especially during practicums. Chemistry practicums are one example that has a high risk because they involve dangerous chemicals and often breakable practicum tools. The current learning system prioritizes practicums over materials, so Augmented Reality (AR) offers a better experience with summarized materials to make them easier to understand. In making this application, the research always evaluates the quality of the application, blackbox testing for functional validation and SUS (System Usability Scale) obtained a score of 72.83 in other words, it reaches the C criterion, namely "Good". This value shows that the system is running well to help the learning system in the current era.
