Abstract
PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk, also known as Sritex, is a textile and garment company located in Sukoharjo, Central Java.Founded in 1966 by H.M. Lukminto, Sritex initially started as a small stall in Pasar Klewer, Solo, and grew to become one of the largest textile producers in Southeast Asia.But in early March 2025, Sritex was declared bankrupt by the Semarang Commercial Court.This decision resulted in the closure of the factory's operations and the termination of all employees.Therefore, a transformation of the Sritex Factory is needed so that the large and expansive building does not become abandoned and can be repurposed for other uses.The purpose of this redesign is to (1) obtain a design and planning concept that results in a new, innovative, and future-oriented design that creates an industrial building to accommodate the creativity and community of Sukoharjo, Central Java, and (2) obtain a design and planning concept that revitalizes Sritex to have high aesthetic and innovative value for the creative community, transforming it into a creative hub and community through cross-programming and dispogramming methods.The methods used are literature review, comparative study, and observational study.It is hoped that the Reinterpretation of the Ex-Factory: Transformation into a Creative and Community CenterThrough the Cross Programming and Dispogramming Method, it can facilitate creative industry activities and support the economic activities of the surrounding community with a dynamic and unexpected building concept.
