Abstract
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the snack food sector, such as cracker production, have an important contribution in supporting the regional economy through job creation and increasing local economic activity. In the cracker production process, workers are faced with various working conditions that have the potential to affect health and performance, especially related to physical workload. Environmental factors such as high working temperatures and poor ergonomic postures such as standing and bending for long periods can cause fatigue and decrease productivity. This study aims to measure the work posture and physical workload of workers using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) and Cardiovascular Load (CVL) methods. From the calculation results at the YaYaYa Crackers MSME using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method, it shows that there are 4 work stations in the moderate category and need improvement, namely the flour processing, oven-baking, weighing, and frying work stations. Meanwhile, the Cardiovascular Load (CVL) results showed that 4 out of 10 people at the printing workstation experienced fatigue, 1 person at the weighing workstation experienced fatigue, and 3 people at the frying workstation, thus requiring improvement. The proposed improvement is in the form of redesigning the weighing workstation to reduce the risk level from previously having a score of 7 in the medium category to 2 in the low category.
