Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the implementation of teaching modules in the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) within the Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) subject, specifically on team sports material for Grade X students at SMA Batik 2 Surakarta. The Independent Curriculum provides flexibility for both teachers and students to innovate in the learning process. The teaching module serves as an essential learning tool designed systematically to support the achievement of learning objectives. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of one PJOK teacher and seven Grade X students. The results indicate that the module preparation aligns with the required components, although challenges remain in its implementation, particularly regarding students’ understanding of project-based assignments. PJOK learning is carried out through both theory and practice sessions, with effective time allocation and the use of instructional media such as videos and PowerPoint. The teacher also applies differentiated and modified instructional methods to increase student engagement. Regular evaluations are conducted to assess both the effectiveness and obstacles of implementation. This study is expected to contribute to improving the quality of the Independent Curriculum implementation in secondary schools.
