Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic capital market literacy and social media influencers on investment interest in the Islamic capital market among Generation Z, with minimum capital as a mediating variable. The research is motivated by the increasing participation of Gen Z in capital markets, which is not yet accompanied by sufficient financial literacy. Employing a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design, data were collected from 150 Gen Z respondents in Surakarta via an online survey. The analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results show that social media influencers have both direct and indirect significant effects on investment interest, mediated by the perception of minimum capital. Conversely, Islamic capital market literacy has a direct effect on investment interest but no significant impact on the perception of minimum capital. These findings underscore the critical role of social perception in shaping Gen Z's financial behavior and the necessity of integrating cognitive financial education with socially driven digital communication. This study contributes theoretically to the literature on Islamic financial behavior and provides practical insights for policymakers and Islamic financial institutions in formulating inclusive and adaptive communication strategies for the digital generation.
