Abstract

Environmental pollution can cause health problems, reduce the quality of natural resources, and disrupt the balance of ecosystems. One cause of environmental pollution is improperly managed livestock waste. One business that wants to manage cow manure waste so that it has commercial value is UD Sapi Rezeki. This study aims to design a business by processing cow manure into organic fertilizer, considering market aspects, technical aspects, and financial aspects. The financial aspects use quantitative analysis methods such as Net Present Value, Payback Period, Internal Rate of Return, and Probability Index. The calculation results indicate that the business is viable with a net present value of Rp454.790,72, a payback period of 2,34 years, an internal rate of return of 18%, and a probability index of 1,05. Additionally, a SWOT analysis was conducted to design business strategies, indicating that the business has strengths in abundant raw material availability and broad market opportunities, despite challenges such as initial capital constraints and low farmer understanding of organic fertilizer. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the design of an organic fertilizer business from cow manure is economically viable and supports environmental management.
