Abstract

The legal implementation of the e-ticket system in Indonesia is based on Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation and Government Regulation Number 80 of 2012 concerning Procedures for Inspection of Motor Vehicles on the Road and Enforcement of Traffic and Road Transportation Violations. This study aims to determine the legal provisions governing the implementation of e-tickets for motor vehicles and enforcement of Traffic law through E-tickets in Increasing Traffic Law Awareness based on Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation. The type of research used is normative with a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The results of the study show that the Regulations regarding the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) system or electronic ticketing can be found in Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation, and are strengthened by Government Regulation Number 80 of 2012 which regulates the procedures for inspection of motor vehicles on the road and enforcement of traffic and road transportation violations. Article 272 explains that electronic devices can be used to support enforcement of traffic and road transportation violations. Public legal awareness of traffic order in Indonesia is still considered far from ideal. Consistent and transparent law enforcement through e-tickets plays a crucial role in building public legal awareness of traffic regulations. With clear electronic evidence and a standardized process, the public will better understand the legal consequences of violations. The implementation of electronic ticketing is in line with the theory of Islamic jurisprudence, particularly in the context of industrial law, which aims to achieve the benefit of humanity and bring goodness.
