Abstract

been regulated in Article 170 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code (KUHP). In Indonesia itself, violence is a case that is often found from year to year. Domestic Violence (KDRT) can be said to be a case whose presence is hidden, because in cases of Domestic Violence (KDRT), the perpetrator and victim usually both cover up the violence. The purpose of this study is to examine preventive and repressive legal protection for victims of domestic violence. By using normative research methods, it has been found that legal protection for victims of domestic violence is an important aspect in maintaining justice and public safety. Although the government has passed the PKDRT Law, the implementation of preventive and repressive legal protection for victims still faces various obstacles.
