Abstract
The tourism sector has great potential in driving regional economic growth, including in the Dieng area which has unique natural wealth in the form of a row of volcanoes. This study aims to analyze the influence of tourism income on economic growth in Batur District, especially in reducing poverty, seeing its impact on economic and social inequality, and identifying factors that influence the development of this sector. Data were obtained from tourism actors, traders, and local governments through interviews and observations using the purposive sampling method. The analysis was carried out using simple linear regression, the Gini index, and descriptive and spatial analysis. The results show that the contribution of the tourism sector to poverty reduction is still very minimal, namely 0.0%, because more income is allocated to infrastructure. Its impact on community income is also relatively low, only 32.2%, with a high level of inequality (Gini index 0.98). However, tourism still provides job opportunities for the surrounding community. The main factors that influence the development of tourism in Batur District include the quality of human resources, natural conditions, socio-cultural aspects, and local economic conditions.
