Abstract
Hydraulic systems are technologies that utilize liquid substances, usually oil, to carry out in-line or rotational movements. This system works based on the principle of Pascal's law. The Swing Motor is the main driver of the excavator's upper structure which utilizes liquid fluid to be converted into mechanical energy. The movement produced by the Swing Motor can rotate the upper structure 360°. This analysis aims to find out what factors cause damage to the Swing Motor on the Komatsu PC200 unit and to find out how to overcome damage to the Swing Motor on the Komatsu PC200 unit. The function of the Swing Motor is to receive oil pressure from the pump whose output is to move the Swing Reduction Gear. The Swing Reduction Gear itself is a Planetary Gear type.
