Abstract

This research adopts a qualitative approach based on professional experience in the field of international trade. The objective of this research is to gain a deeper understanding of the application of Incoterms and payment methods in international trade practices and to explore how an inadequate understanding of these elements can lead to disputes between the parties involved. Drawing from my direct professional experiences at OhSung Global Logistics, I have been able to identify common challenges and problems encountered when selecting the appropriate Incoterms and understanding payment methods in real-world scenarios. This study focuses on observations made at OhSung Global Logistics, where I had the opportunity to witness firsthand how these elements are applied in practice. By utilizing observational data, the study offers insights into common misunderstandings and provides recommendations for improving understanding and preventing disputes related to Incoterms and payment methods in international trade.
