Abstract

Psychological well-being should ideally be possessed by all students, because if students feel happy, content, and prosperous while at school, it will have an impact on their academic performance. However, in fact, there are still many students who potentially have low psychological well-being. In islamic boarding school, students are required to follow and adjust to the environment in the islamic boarding school. The social support obtained by the students really helps them in the adjustment period to the environment in the boarding school and also their psychological well-being. The aim of this research is to determine whether there is a relationship between peer social support and self-adjustment. The hypotheses proposed are, Major hypothesis: There is a relationship between peer social support and self-adjustment with the well-being of students in boarding schools. Minor hypothesis: 1). There is a positive relationship between peer social support and self-being at boarding schools, 2). There is a positive relationship between self-adjustment and the well-being of students in boarding schools. The method used in this research is quantitative method with correlation. The population of this study were students in grades X - XI of X Islamic Boarding School with a total of 175 students. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The data analysis used in this research used multiple linear regression techniques with the help of SPSS version 25.0. Based on the results of the research, there is a significant relationship between peer social support and self-adjustment with the well-being of students with a value of F = 32, 218 and a sig value (0.000). There is a significant positive relationship between peer social support and students' self-being with a value of t = 2.933 and a sig value (0.000). There is a significant positive relationship between self-adjustment and students' self-being with a t value = 5.577 and a sig value (0.000).
