Abstract

Loss is a condition in which a person faces the loss of an object, role, or relationship that has personal or emotional value. Cases of lost items in the Surakarta Muhammadiyah University environment such as wallets, keys, vehicle registration, helmets, and other valuable objects are common problems that often occur. Information management related to lost and found items is currently still done manually or using social media such as Instagram. Therefore, a system is needed that is able to manage information on lost items and is easily accessible and provides security for users in a centralized and organized manner. This research was conducted with the aim of building an android-based lost property management system at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. This system research uses the SDLC method with a waterfall approach, using firebase realtime database as data storage, firebase authentication to handle user authentication, cloudinary as image storage, and Kotlin programming language. Black box and SUS methods are used in testing this system. The results of black box testing of this system can run according to its function. SUS test results obtained an average score of 80.33 which shows the system is in the “Excellent” category and is suitable for use.
