Abstract

Pregnancy and childbirth are natural events in a woman’s life. However, the intense physical and emotional changes during this period put women at risk of mental health issues, particularly postpartum depression. Several factors that can affect postpartum depression in mothers include knowledge of mental health and support from their husbands. The purpose of this study is to examine the correlation between mental health knowledge and spousal support with postpartum depression in mothers within the working area of Karanganyar Public Health Center. This study employs a analitical quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted from March to December 2024. The population of the study consists of 1,021 individuals, with a sample size of 98 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The Chi Square analysis results indicate a correlation between mental health knowledge and spousal support with postpartum depression in postpartum mothers.
