Abstract
This study analyzes the use of social media as a promotional medium. This study aims to determine what forms of promotion are carried out by the @lokanantabloc account on Instagram and the effectiveness of the messages conveyed through its content. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research type using media ecology theory. The paradigm used in this study is the constructivism paradigm with data collection techniques using interviews and observations conducted on informants. The informant retrieval technique uses purposive sampling where informants will be selected according to the researcher's criteria. These criteria include two stakeholders from Lokananta and three people from followers on the @lokanantabloc Instagram account. The validity test used is data source triangulation. Secondary data is used as relevant data so that it can be a reference in this study. While primary data is used from data obtained through journals, articles, books, the internet, and others. The data analysis used is interactive analysis from Miles and Huberman
