Abstract

Mental health is a health that needs to be considered in addition to physical health for the sake of survival. Lack of information and knowledge about mental health treatment results in low public awareness of one's mental concerns. This causes people to underestimate the mental problems that are being felt, thus delaying to consult directly with a mental health expert or a psychologist. This research contains an expert system design to diagnose several psychological wounds that are often felt by a person in order to provide information about the initial form of treatment for mental disorders to the community. The method used in designing this system is forward chaining. Using this method to analyze symptoms based on existing knowledge then produces a logical conclusion that is being felt by the user. So that users of this expert system can find out the possibility of psychological injuries that are being felt and how to handle them first. This system was developed using the PHP programming language with the help of the Laravel 9 framework. The features of this expert system have been tested and can be run according to the expected plan as seen from the black box test results. As well as in testing the system usability scale obtained a score of 73.52 obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to 17 respondents from the SUS results the system is suitable for use.
