Abstract

This research aims to describe core character management with a series of planning, implementation and assessment in outdoor science-based biology learning at Al Firdaus High School. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a focus on a single case study. Data was collected through interviews, observations and document analysis from various sources, namely school principals, biology teachers and students, as well as related documents. The research results show that outdoor science-based Biology learning is effective in improving and developing 11 core characters, such as religiousness, honesty, tolerance, discipline, creativity, independence, curiosity, environmental care, social care and responsibility, while also increasing understanding of biological concepts. The initial implementation of management characteristics consists of planning, implementation and evaluation carried out in a structured manner. The outdoor science-based learning process allows students to participate actively and develop cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills. As a result, outdoor science has the potential to improve character education and provide a more enjoyable learning experience, making it a relevant learning paradigm.
