Abstract
This study aims to determine the use of SSCS-based flip books on the immune system material on the motivation and learning outcomes of class XI students of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta in the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year. This type of research is a quasi-experiment using a one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all class XI students of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta. The sample of this study was selected using the cluster random sampling technique so that one class was obtained, namely class XI-2, totaling 42 students. The data collection technique used was in the form of a learning motivation observation sheet and a multiple choice test of 20 questions. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). The results of the analysis of student learning motivation data were in the good category, especially in the indicator of interesting activities in learning which obtained the highest percentage of 75%, while the lowest percentage was the encouragement and need to learn and appreciation in learning which obtained a percentage of 61.30%. The results of the analysis of student learning outcomes obtained a pretest score with an average of 58.59 which is in the low category, while the posttest score has an average of 84.62 which is in the high category. So there is a significant increase between the pretest and posttest scores. Based on the results of the data analysis obtained, it can be concluded that the use of SSCS-based flip books motivates students well and there is a difference in student learning outcomes after using flip books on the immune system material in class XI SMA Batik 1 Surakarta in the 2024/2025 academic year.
