Abstract

Legal protection is all laws and regulations, which in their contents regulate consumer interests. To find out the application of consumer protection law to the discovery of a food product that is not certified and has a halal logo. To find out the legal sanctions against a business actor who distributes food products that are not certified and has a halal logo. The type of research used by the author is a type of normative research where in this study analyzes and compiles data from secondary data, primary data, and tertiary data. Consumer protection against the circulation of food that is not halal certified has not been implemented properly, and there is still a lack of awareness among business actors who still sell food that is not halal certified, in addition there is still a lack of supervision by authorities regarding the entry of illegal imported goods, including food.
