Abstract

This study analyzes the news construction regarding Gibran Rakabuming Raka's candidacy for the 2024 Presidential Election in the media @narasinewsroom. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and framing analysis model of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki, this study focuses on news for the period 16-25 October 2023. The results of the study show that the media @narasinewsroom plays an important role in framing controversial issues such as age, political dynasty, and party maneuvers. The news is presented with attractive visuals, distinctive language, and oriented to the main points. Although some news appears neutral, the framing used tends to highlight controversial aspects. This research emphasizes the role of the media in shaping public opinion and political discourse, especially in the context of the 2024 Presidential Election. These findings are expected to contribute to the study of political communication and understanding of the influence of the media in the construction of social reality.
