Abstract
The hydraulic system of heavy equipment is the main part of heavy equipment because the hydraulic system of heavy equipment works as a power transmitter by utilizing liquid fluid/hydraulic oil. The hydraulic system is a series of components that utilize pressure (liquid/fluid) to produce mechanical energy. The Lift Cylinder is one of the components whose function is to raise or lower the blade when pushing material. The lift cylinder movement mechanism uses hydraulic fluid that is flowed from the hydraulic tank, then pumped by the main pump and divided into flow through the control valve which then the flow direction goes to the lift cylinder. There is a case of damage, namely the movement of the Komatsu D31PX-21 Bulldozer lift cylinder is slow or low power when doing work. The stages of the inspection procedure for this unit are carried out with several processes including the following: Observe & Diagnostic, Collect Data, Analysis, Suspected Cause, Conclusion, Action to Improvement. After the damage analysis process is complete, the next step is the Disassembly process followed by replacing damaged components and the last step is the Assembly process. Based on the results of the damage analysis, it shows that the hydraulic lift cylinder cannot perform the lifting blade process, because of low power, this is caused by a hydraulic oil leak in the hydraulic lift cylinder section, so repairs and replacement of damaged components are required.
