Abstract
Many people idolize the use of Indonesia captions on their social media. However, there are also those who make mistakes in writing captions. This error can lead to misinterpretation by readers. On this basis, researchers aim to analyze writing errors in social media captions. The social media chosen in this research is Instagram. The researchers conducted the study for several months. This research was conducted following qualitative descriptive research, where the respondents were Instagram users @boyolalikita and @dolan boyolali. The results of this research were: There were 11 prefix errors, 3 infix errors, 4 suffix errors, and 2 confix errors. In prefixation errors, a prefix error {me-} was found. Then the errors in the suffixation process include errors in the suffix {-kan}. Confixation process error found {me-i} confix error. Meanwhile, errors in the sumulfix process were found: sumulfix errors {nyo} The forms of errors in the affixation process in this study were phonemes that should have melted but were not melted, phonemes that should not have been melted but were melted, adding affixes, changing affixes, removing affixes, and using affixes that were not according to the context of the sentence.
