Abstract

Moral values in the December 2023 edition of Kompas' short stories are the focus of the relationship between humans and God, the relationship between humans and themselves, the relationship between humans and fellow humans, and the relationship between humans and nature. This research aims to explain the moral values contained in the December 2023 edition of Kompas short stories with the results showing the relevance of moral values in the December 2023 edition of Kompas short stories to literature learning in high school. The approach or method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques, namely reading and note-taking techniques. Through data analysis of Hermeneutic techniques, it was found that four moral aspects are (1) the moral value of human relations with God, (2) the moral value of human relations with themselves, (3) the moral value of human relations with fellow humans, (4) the moral value of human relations with nature. The results of this research are implemented with literature learning in high school and are relevant to train students in critical thinking, encourage students to convey opinions and ideas and try to take steps to solve problems with various opinions that have been obtained from their friends so that learning is more active and not monotonous. This is proven by the match between short stories and learning outcomes which can be reduced to ATP (learning objective flow). The ATP then developed a teaching module. In studying literature, one thing that can be studied is short stories. Here are the reasons; educational values, religious values, leadership values, heroic values, courage values, moral values, and moral values.
