Abstract
Cyberbullying is a form of understanding or intimidation that occurs through digital platforms, such as ordering applications, social media, and websites. Adolescents are in a phase of development where the influence of self-control plays an important role in shaping behavior. The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of self-control and conformity on cyberbullying behavior in adolescents. This study implements a correlational quantitative approach with data collection instruments in the form of scales, including the cyberbullying scale, self-control scale, and conformity scale. This study has a subject of 200 students from 2 junior high schools in Solo City. The sampling technique was determined by Cluster Random Sampling. Then the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression assisted by SPSS software. Based on the research that has been held, it was obtained that the major hypothesis proposed by the researcher was accepted, namely that self-control and conformity have a significant relationship with cyberbullying behavior (F=11,168, sig=0.000). Furthermore, the first minor hypothesis proposed by the researcher was not accepted, namely that self-control did not have a significant influence on cyberbullying behavior in adolescents (sig = 0.481, B = 0.115). The second minor hypothesis is that conformity is significantly related to cyberbullying behavior in adolescents (sig = 0.000, B = 0.238). The effective contribution of self-control with cyberbullying was 0.54% and the effective contribution of conformity with cyberbullying was 9.85%, thus conformity had a greater contribution to cyberbullying.
