Abstract
The high poverty rate in the province of Java Island poses a major challenge, because the effects will affect the social and economic conditions in Indonesia. As the main economic center in Indonesia, Java Island not only plays an important role in determining the direction of economic growth, but also reflects the social and economic dynamics that have an impact on the national level. The challenge of poverty in Java Island is not only a local issue, but also affects the overall social and economic structure of the country. This study aims to analyze the main factors that cause high poverty rates in Java Island during the 2018-2023 period. The variables analyzed include GRDP, HDI, and Inflation in relation to poverty in Java Island. This study uses secondary data in the form of panel data, which combines cross-sectional and time series data, with data sources obtained from the Central Statistics Agency.
