Abstract

Technological advancements have brought great changes in various sectors of human life. Religious and financial activities are also affected by this progress, one of the activities is the collection of zakat. As an innovation effort in increasing zakat collection, BAZNAS Surakarta City utilizes digital zakat in its implementation. This research aims to find out how the implementation, the impact of digital zakat on zakat collection, and its impact on society through observation, interviews, and documentation. The result is that the application of digital zakat increases the collection by 234.07% from 2021-2023. In addition, the community becomes easier to channel funds to be used as capital for local MSMEs.
