Abstract
Kartasura District is the area with the highest population and building density in Sukoharjo Regency. BPBD Sukoharjo Regency has carried out mapping of urban fire vulnerability, but academically no one has carried out a study on this matter, because academically it is necessary to carry out research in the form of mapping the distribution of urban fires in Kartasura District. This research aims to determine the distribution of areas prone to urban fires and analyze the size of areas prone to urban fires in Kartasura District. Mapping the distribution of urban fires in this study uses seven parameters, data obtained secondaryly. The method used in this research is scoring each parameter and adding up the scores which produces three vulnerability classifications with respective value intervals for each classification. The research results are in the form of an urban fire vulnerability map which shows that all villages in Kartasura District have a moderate urban fire vulnerability classification, this is in line with the urban fire vulnerability map obtained from the Sukoharjo Regency BPBD which is a comparison map with the research results map. On the other hand, all villages have a high vulnerability classification, except for Wirogunan, Kertonatan and Ngabeyan villages. Gumpang Village is the village with the largest high vulnerability classification, namely 0.2 km2 with a percentage of 39.9%, Pucangan Village is the village with the largest medium vulnerability classification, namely 1.5 km2 with a percentage of 13.5%, and Pabelan Village is the village with the widest low vulnerability classification, namely 0.3 km2 with a percentage 37.3%. The area classified for high vulnerability is 0.5 km2 with a percentage of 4%, medium 11.1 km2 with a percentage of 89%, and low 0.8 km2 with a percentage of 7%.
