Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine how effective the Merdeka Entrepreneurship Program is from student interest in entrepreneurship, and how effective the program has an impact on student interest in entrepreneurship at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. This study uses a random sample by distributing questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies. This study involved 20 students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta who had participated in the Merdeka Entrepreneurial Program. The results showed that the Merdeka Entrepreneurship Program of Muhamadiyah University Surakarta succeeded in improving student soft skills, business involvement, and business enthusiasm. Entrepreneurial interest reached 73.3%, which means that students are oriented towards entrepreneurship. Students also perceive the effectiveness of the Merdeka Entrepreneurship Program (WMK) as 83.29% or it can be said that this program is very effective.
