Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the text-based learning of Indonesian is implemented using the PjBL model and the block system at SMK N 8 Surakarta. The urgency of this research for education is to find out the implementation of the PjBL model in vocational high schools and can be used as a reference for other research. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. One of the descriptive qualitative research is a research with a case study method or approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study show that the implementation of Indonesian language learning with the project based learning model and block system at SMK N 8 Surakarta has been going well and in accordance with the provisions. The conclusion from this study is that the implementation of text-based Indonesian learning is based on the PjBL model syntax with the learning steps contained in the lesson plan, including: 1) Essensial questions: The teacher asks questions related to the material to be studied. 2) Project design: The teacher conveys the scope of the material. 3) Arrangement of the project schedule: The teacher explains the description of the activities. 4) Monitor project progress: Students are guided by the teacher to identify problems, Students in discussion groups collect data/information. 5) Evaluation of results: Students present the results of group work and other groups provide feedback. 6) Evaluation of Experience: The teacher evaluates a series of learning activities and their results and the benefits of learning. Whereas the implementation of the block system is in accordance with the conditions of implementing the block system, the quality of text-based Indonesian learning by implementing the block system, the readiness of teachers and students in implementing block system learning and the advantages and disadvantages of the block system.
