Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using an 8-hole injector and a fuel pump pressure of 3.5 bar, with variations in standard coils, aftermarket coil 1, and aftermarket coil 2, on the performance of a 150cc four-stroke automatic motorcycle engine. The main parameters tested included torque, power, and specific fuel consumption (SFC) using Pertamax RON 92 fuel. Testing was conducted using a dynamometer to obtain power and torque data, as well as an SFC tester to calculate fuel consumption. The results showed that using an 8-hole injector and a fuel pump pressure of 3.5 bar, combined with aftermarket coil variant 2, significantly improved engine performance compared to the standard configuration. The highest torque was achieved with aftermarket coil variant 2 at 25.52 Nm at 2,598 rpm, while the highest power was 10.2 HP at 3,000 rpm. However, the standard configuration exhibited the most fuel-efficient consumption, with a KBBS value of 0.13096 kg/HP·h. It can be concluded that the aftermarket coil variation 2 improves power and torque performance but is not more fuel-efficient than the standard configuration.
