Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of modifying the intake manifold with volume variations of 107 ml, 117 ml and 127 ml on the induction tube and the addition of a 100 ml resonator on the performance of a 110 cc 4 stroke engine with indicators such as torque, power, and specific fuel consumption (KBBS). ). The induction tube serves to improve the performance of a 4 stroke combustion engine by accommodating a temporary mixture of air and fuel that can be used when the motorcycle accelerates. Resonators and induction tubes with a volume of 107 ml, 117 ml and 127 ml were attached to the intake manifold for testing using a dynotest test device.The results showed that the volume of the induction tube had an effect on the performance of the 4 stroke combustion engine. The test results show an increase in performance on a motorcycle using a resonator and an induction tube with the highest torque of 8.323333333 Nm at 5500 rpm engine speed on an induction tube with a volume of 127 ml. The highest power value is 7.33333 Hp at 7000 rpm on an induction tube with a volume of 127 ml. And the lowest specific fuel consumption (KBBS) produced is 0.185874 kg/hour.Hp at 6750 rpm on an induction tube measuring 107 ml.
