Abstract

SMK (Vocational High School) is a formal education unit equivalent to SMA/MA which organizes vocational education at the level of further education from SMP/MTS. Referring to the curriculum given in vocational schools, it is very different from general high schools or high schools (SMA). In high school, the subject matter given is general/theoretical, while in vocational high school, in addition to theory, it also emphasizes work practice to provide skills to students. Student learning activities are not only carried out at school, but practical activities in the real world of work are also highly emphasized to gain and improve work experience in the competitive world of work. The research aims are : 1. Describe the effect of work interest on students' work readiness 2. Describe the effect of work motivation on students' work readiness. 3. Describe the effect of interest and motivation on job readiness of students at SMK Yasemi Karangrayung. This research method uses quantitative survey design. The population in this study were students of class XII Accounting Vocational Vocational School Yasemi Karangrayung for the academic year 2021/2022 with a total of 141 students, Isaac and Michael obtained students for an error rate of 5%, so the sample size of the population of 140 students was 100 students. and data were collected using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression, T test, F test, R2, Relative Contribution and Effective Contribution. The results of data analysis obtained the linear equation Y = 7.543 + 0.415 X1 + 0.414 X2. This is evidenced by the results of Fcount > Ftable, which is 33,814 > 3.09 and a significance value < 0.05, which is 0.000. The work motivation variable gave a relative contribution of 53.36% and an effective contribution of 21.93%. Interest variable gives a relative contribution of 46.64% and an effective contribution of 19.16%. The result of the calculation for R2 is 0.411, which means that 41.1% of work readiness is influenced by interest and work motivation.
