Abstract
This study aims to analyze and describe critical thinking skills in terms of students' level of intelligence quotient in solving PISA type math problems. This research with descriptive qualitative design used the subjects of class X IPA-1 Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Pati in the 2019/2020 academic year. The main instrument in this research is the researcher himself with test questions and interview guides as supporting instruments. Data collection techniques using test methods, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative data analysis. The validity of the data used triangulation methods, namely comparing the results of the test analysis and the results of the interview analysis. The results showed that: 1) students with average IQ, over-all only meet two indicators of critical thinking skills used, namely interpretation and analysis, 2) students with normal bright IQ, fulfill three indicators, namely interpretation, analysis, and evaluation 3) students with the superior IQ, as a whole it fulfills the four indicators of critical thinking skills used, namely interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference.
